"Play Hard" is a song by French DJ and record producer David Guetta. The track produced by himself with the collaboration of Giorgio Tuinfort and Frédéric Riesterer has the vocals of Ne-Yo and Akon. It’s confirmed as the third official single taken from the re-release of Guetta’s fifth studio album entitled “Nothing But the Beat 2.0” and tenth overall single from this era. The song was written by David Guetta, Aliaune Thiam, Shaffer Smith, Giorgio Tuinfort and Frédéric Riesterer and was released on the British market as a promotional track on late 2012 and entered the UK Singles Chart at number 22. It also was released on Australia in September and was placed at number 16. The song heavily incorporates the classic dance track “Better Off Alone” by Alice Deejay and DJ Jurgen released in 1998. Guetta confirmed on Twitter that a new mix of the track will serve as the official single version. The new single mix was released on iTunes on March 15th.

The music video was filmed on late-February in Mexico and was directed by Andreas Nilsson. It was premiered on VEVO on April 23.
